colors from Lyø

The Folklore Jacket is growing. In the  morning I work a couple of rows, drinking my second cup of morning coffee. The first cup is reserved the morning paper.
I was a bit uncertain if the colors were replica of Danish folklore until I saw this photo.
These fingerless mittens were knit and embroidered on the little island, Lyø. 150 years ago maybe.
Thank you for all your comforting comments. The service was very beautiful and we had a good time afterwards meeting relatives we almost never see.

  2. What progress you are making on that gorgeous jacket. I laughed to see the paper clip markers. I guess I am not the only one who uses whatever is readily at hand. I also love those mitts - the embroidery is beautiful.

It is grand to be able to document closely - the print and mitt are delightful.
