The Folklore Jacket is growing. In the morning I work a couple of rows, drinking my second cup of morning coffee. The first cup is reserved the morning paper.
I was a bit uncertain if the colors were replica of Danish folklore until I saw this photo.
These fingerless mittens were knit and embroidered on the little island, Lyø. 150 years ago maybe.
Thank you for all your comforting comments. The service was very beautiful and we had a good time afterwards meeting relatives we almost never see.
Mette that jacket is going to be absolutely gorgeous. I shall picture you every morning with your second cup of coffee growing it a little bit more ... can't wait to see the finished thing :)
ReplyDeleteWhat progress you are making on that gorgeous jacket. I laughed to see the paper clip markers. I guess I am not the only one who uses whatever is readily at hand. I also love those mitts - the embroidery is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe colors work beautifully together. Your "breakfast jacket" will be fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThat jacket is stunning and the colours are yummy! I can't wait to see it all finished but I expect you are enjoying watching it grow under your fingers!
ReplyDeleteIt is grand to be able to document closely - the print and mitt are delightful.
I am in awe of your stunning work. It is such a joy to be able to sip one's morning coffee and make such beauty.
ReplyDeleteI shall be back....
The jacket is so stunning. It makes my teeth water :)
